Blog challenge days 3 & 4

whoopsy… Missed a day there! I’ll make it up today. šŸ™‚

Day 3- explain my day in great detail.

Monday morning, alarm goes off at 6:55. I succeeded in getting Dave to get the kids up and ready (unusual). Second alarm goes off at 7:33- 7 minutes until the bus comes. I get up, make sure everyone is ready and send them out the door. Go back to sleep.

10:30 wake up to discover that Dave is asleep on the couch and the kids have gotten into the cereal. I clean up the mess, check on the chicks, put a load of laundry in the washer, and drink some water. I do the dishes that didn’t get done last night, start the dishwasher.

We get dressed, and head out the door. Stop for hot dogs, and head to the park with the 2 little ones. We eat there, feed the squirrels (or chipamunts, according to 3-yr old David) and then stop at the met market for some ground beef for supper. We then head home to meet the bigger ones from the bus since it’s a half day.

I check email, see one from the Ybor Daily Market and see that I’m approved to sell bows, hats, and booties there. Yay!! I start working on some bows and send the 7 year old out to feed the chickens and rabbits. 2 eggs.

I take the 9 year old, Grayce, to the grocery store for a few more things, and we have a learning trip. She says “you don’t have to always try to teach something”. To which I replied “everything in life is a learning opportunity.” Yes. I Actually said that. We talked about the differences between name brand and store brand, how to figure out which drinks would be a better buy, and why we don’t buy the $1 bag of chips. We head home.

Dave starts working on dinner while I work on bows, and only needs a little help from me to make the shepherds pie. It’s on the table at 4:51. A little early, but it came out really good. After dinner I do bath time for the filthy boys, settle in to watch some Street Outlaws and work on afghan stars, and send the kids to bed. Finish 4 stars, snuggle up to Dave, almost fall asleep, and head to bed at 11.

Day 4- the meaning behind my Tumblr name

Since I don’t have a tumbler name, I’ll tell you about my email/Facebook name. brandeekins came about when I had my first email address. A friend of my ex and I were talking about possible names. He suggested brandeetypeperson and I thought it was cute, but really long. I wanted to keep the feel of that- something with my name, but cuter. That’s when I thought of brandeekins. It’s been that way ever since.
